Learner support

One team around every learner

Education and specialist support work together as part of the school day.

Joined-up support

Education and specialist services plan together.

  1. 01

Integrated planning across education and support services.

  2. 02

Practical strategies that carry into class and home.

  3. 03

Respectful communication with families and learners.

Support is part of the school day

Learner support is integrated with teaching rather than treated as a separate add-on. Professionals share practical strategies with educators, families, facilitators and caregivers so that gains can carry into everyday activities.

A coordinated team

Services include educational psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and AAC, social work, nursing, and early-intervention support. The service offered to an individual learner depends on assessed need, available capacity and the agreed support plan.

Support the whole learner

The strongest support plan sees the whole learner.
